Just taking a break from studying...guess what!? I SAW THE PRESIDENT!!!!!! I got to go to OSU's graduation and see him. After many hours of being sure I would not get to see him and conceding to the idea, I finally got to see him after all (long story about how this worked out, but that's another story for another post when I have time...). Amazing ya'll. After all the campaign hours I have put in for him and the Republican Party, this experience makes it that much more worth while. Here are some pics:

My 22nd Birthday

So, I'm finally updating. Today was my 22nd birthday, and it was probably one of the best. Here's some reasons why my birthday weekend was special (I love all my wonderful friends and family!!)

- My Family

- Birthday call from my grandparents

- My friends

- Being surprised by my friends when I came back to my duplex from Bible Study. They made a wonderful cake that had and American flag on it and it said, "Vote for Emily," also, they all signed a card.

- Going to Red Robin with Debby and the waiters/waitresses singing for me and giving me balloons and free ice cream

- Having random people I don't know tell me Happy Birthday at Red Robin

- Hearing people say, "Happy Birthday!" and getting cards

- Having MANY Happy Birthday facebook messages and wall posts

- Going to my old high school's play

- Going to Chili's

- Getting a bithday cookie

- Getting neat presents

- There's probably more that I just forgot, but it's been incredible, and I thank God for the wonderful friends and family He's placed in my life and for giving me this life 22 years ago. God is good!

So the day is over...the OCPA Newt Gingrich event went extremely well. Newt's a really nice guy...I even go a picture with him! Although it looks like he saw something funny or interesting while the picture was being taken. The other guy on my left is Ed Feulner, president of The Heritage Foundation and veteran of the Reagan administrations. Here's the pic:

Well, Glorieta was amazing...God taught me so much about discipleship through Howard Hendricks and other speakers. God was so faithful (as He always is) through the week - helping me realize His plans are perfect and I need to constantly seek His will for my life. Whatever I do in life, one thing's for sure: He has called every Christian to be disciplemakers. I want that to be my job in life; God may just put me in a money-making job to accomplish this.

The fellowship at Glorieta was sweet as well. Here are some pics:

24 is the bestest show ever!!!!! Tonight was probably the most intense episode of all five seasons (and that's saying something). It was also one of the saddest...those writers are geniuses!! They sure make you expect the unexpected...right up to the very end! I will miss Edgar so much, though! He was one of my favorites...and poor Chloe!!

Ice Dancing Falls

Man, what was up with all the falls in Ice Dancing tonight?! The couple from Canada had it the worst. The girl landed on her hip and couldn't even stand up straight to get off the ice - her partner had to carry her. Then she had to be carried out on a stretcher and taken to the hospital! After that, three other couples had falls. Here's some photos of the falls (what was up with all the girls being skimpily-clad, also?):

At least the Americans didn't fall! (this is them, but it's not them on the same night as all the falls - I couldn't find a good picture of them that night)
